Honeymoon Help!

Hey guys!

Nathan and I are currently talking about what the heck we want to do for our honeymoon! We keep going back and fourth about whether or not we should just go on a cruise or go to an all exclusive resort somewhere.

Nathan really wants to go on a cruise but I have been on a few already. It would be his first time! I honestly think that a cruise gives you the best bang for your buck but I want to see what other options we may have.

Do you have any recommendations? Where did you go? What is the best honeymoon spot?

I’d love to hear some input from any of you that may have some more travel experience than we do!

A beautiful resort in Cancun is at the top of our list for sure! Playa Mujeres is just stunning!

Let me know of any ideas you may have or some great places!

  1. We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon. It was a relaxing trip with naps and lots of good food. For our one year anniversary we went on a cruise to Alaska. It was also very fun, relaxing, and filled with yummy food. I think either way you will have a great time and you can always do the other option in a couple of years!

  2. My husband and I went to Oahu for our honeymoon and loved it, we can’t wait to go back to Hawaii later on and explore the other islands! We also love taking cruises. Our favorite has probably been to Key West, Freeport, and Nassau, Bahamas. We usually cruise with Carnival but our most recent was with Royal, and it was amazing! We considered doing an all-inclusive resort too for our honeymoon, and I would honestly love to still do that sometime. You can’t go wrong when choosing your honeymoon destination–I think it comes down to what yall want to spend time doing! Relaxing, exploring, drinking, etc… Good luck 🙂 I can’t wait to hear what you guys choose.

  3. My husband and I got married at the end of last year and we went on a cruise – first time for both of us. It was so great not having to worry about a single thing and truly take the time to relax and be with one another.

  4. Maybe you can decide to go somewhere where it’s possible to take a day or river cruise? So then it’s almost the best of both worlds! I know those aren’t the same as day long cruises, but that’s an option to consider 🙂 Also, congratulations!

  5. We went to Excellence Riviera Cancun and it was amazing! The resort was gorgeous, and the food and drinks were great, especially since it was all-inclusive and once we arrived, we didn’t have to think about anything else other than enjoying our stay! We set up a honeymoon fund so some of our friends and family even gifted us a couples massage at the resort, which was a really great way to relax after all the stress of wedding planning. I would highly recommend the resort, or any of the Excellence resorts!
